live8 summit
Every single day, 30,000 children die, needlessly, of extreme poverty. On July 6th 8 world leaders will gather in Scotland for the G8 summit, and they will be presented with a workable plan to double aid, drop the dept and make the trade laws fair. If these 8 men agree, 30,000 children will have a chance to live out their lives, and it will lift the burdens of poverty from many countries stricken by it.
If I was one of those eight men, I would make that choice. This world seems like one big blue ball of problems. From poverty to war, seems like it just gets worse. If you got a chance to solve some of those problems, I think it’s your duty to do so.
So I’ll do my little bit and spread the word.
Also I encourage you to read some of the letters written to the G8 from:
Rwanda, Kenya, Colombia, South Africa, Peru, Uganda, Zambia, and Mozambique
